I've sadly decided it's time to sell the E21 and move on to a new project. This car is pretty well known around the east bay community. I bought the car in 2020 as somewhat of a pandemic project and built it into what you see today. The goal was to have a track car that could be driven comfortably on the street and looked like the 80s Group 2 race cars. I ended up with a different track project, so the E21 ended up being purely street focused, but with the addition of a roll hoop and some engine mods it would be a fantastic track car.

Bodywork: The car has an Alpina front valence and BMW 2002 turbo flares, both of which have been modified to fit more smoothly on an E21. The rear ductail is from a euro Mk1 Ford Capri that I had made in the UK. I reworked the sheet metal on the rear of the car to closely match the euro E21 look without bumpers. The gold finish is urethane paint, the stripes and rear trunk black is vinyl.

Interior: I stripped the carpet out and painted the interior metal white. It has good conditon door cards and rear panels, and two Corbeau racing seats. The rear seat area is ready to accomodate a bolt in roll hoop, or return to being a seat or storage area. The sunroof is currently not functional and is secured in place but I have all the components to rebuild it if you were inclined to do so.

Suspension: The car has uprated bushings, Ireland engineering diff mount, limited slip diff, uprated sway bars, and a coilover conversion with adjustable spring perches and Eibach track springs. It handles beautifully and has a ton of grip on Toyo R888 tires.
Engine: The car still has an M10 that was rebuilt prior to my acquiring and runs great. My eventual plan was to swap in an M20 or M42, but the car is currently still CA legal, even though I have it registered with my business out of state.
